Paal Payasam
Ingredients
- Milk - 1/2 litre
- Basmati rice - 2 tbsp
- Saffron - few strands
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Cardamom - a pinch
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Soak basmati in water for 15 mins, drain water and fry them by melting ghee in a pan.
- Then, add little water and grind them into a coarse paste, keep aside.
- Boil milk in pan, add basmati paste and mix them well in low flame.
- Keep stirring in low flame till rice gets cooked.
- Add sugar, saffron strands, cardamom powder and cashews.
- Serve.
