Paal Payasam

Ingredients
  • Milk - 1/2 litre
  • Basmati rice - 2 tbsp
  • Saffron - few strands
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Cardamom - a pinch
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup 
Method
  1. Soak basmati in water for 15 mins, drain water and fry them by melting ghee in a pan.
  2. Then, add little water and grind them into a coarse paste, keep aside.
  3. Boil milk in pan, add basmati paste and mix them well in low flame.
  4. Keep stirring in low flame till rice gets cooked.
  5. Add sugar, saffron strands, cardamom powder and cashews.
  6. Serve.
