Curry Leaves Rice
Ingredients
- Cooked Rice - 1 cup
- Salt as needed
- Gingelly Oil - 2 tsp
- Channa Dal - 2 tsp
- Urad Dal - 2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Peppercorns - 1 tsp
- Dry Red Chillies - 4
- Sesame Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 cup
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Tamarind - 1 inch
- Gingelly Oil - 2 tsp
- Channa Dal - 1 tsp
- Urad Dal - 1 tsp
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
- Peanuts - 1 tbsp
- Dry Red Chillies - 2
- Cook rice and keep aside.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add channa dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, peppercorns, dry red chillies, sesame seeds, curry leaves and roast them.
- Extract tamarind juice add to the above ingredients and boil for few mins.
- Grind them into a fine powder.
- Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard, add urad dal, channa dal, peanuts and dry red chillies.
- Add cooked rice.
- Add salt.
- Add curry leaves powder made.
- Mix well and serve with pappad.
