Kadai Paneer
Kadai paneer is the combination of paneer, onion and colorfull bell peppers coated with spicy tomato sauce, aromatic spices and herbs. Kadai means “wok” 

Ingredients
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Butter- 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum - 1
  • Onion - 2
  • Dried fenugreek leaves - 2 tsp
  • Paneer - 200 g
  • Kashmir chilly powder - 2 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Fennel - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander seed - 2 tsp
  • Dry chillies - 4
  • Tomato - 3
  • Cinnamon - Small l piece
  • Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Method

  1. Make tomato puree.
  2. Heat pan and dry roast pepper. coriander, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon and dry red chillies.
  3. Cool them and grind them into a fine powder.
  4. Heat pan, add oil, melt butter, add chopped onions and saute them.
  5. Add salt.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste, saute till raw smell goes.
  7. Add chopped capsicums.
  8. Add chilli powder.
  9. Add tomato puree.
  10. Add paneer, sprinkle some water and cook them.
  11. Add grounded powder.
  12. Add dried fenugreek leaves once water drains and paneer gets cooked.
  13. Sprinkle sugar.
  14. Garnish and serve hot with roti, naan or chapati.
