Spinach Chicken

Ingredients
  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 2 (sliced)
  • Green chilllies - 2 
  • Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Salt as needed
Marination:
  • Chicken - 500 g
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt as needed
Method
  1. Marinate chicken adding turmeric, red chilli powder and salt for 15 - 20 mins.
  2. Pressure cook the marinated pieces with little water for 5 - 6 whistles in medium flame.
  3. Heat oil in a pan , saute onions till transparent.
  4. Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute till the raw smell goes.
  5. Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
  6. Cook them.


  7. Add cooked chicken along with water (chicken stock) and coat well with the masala.
  8. Add water and check for seasoning.
  9. Add spinach finally and cook for 15 mins.

  10. Serve hot with rice, or chapatti.
