Spinach Chicken
Ingredients
- Spinach - 1 bunch
- Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
- Onion - 2 (sliced)
- Green chilllies - 2
- Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Water 1/2 cup
- Salt as needed
- Chicken - 500 g
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Marinate chicken adding turmeric, red chilli powder and salt for 15 - 20 mins.
- Pressure cook the marinated pieces with little water for 5 - 6 whistles in medium flame.
- Heat oil in a pan , saute onions till transparent.
- Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute till the raw smell goes.
- Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
- Cook them.
- Add cooked chicken along with water (chicken stock) and coat well with the masala.
- Add water and check for seasoning.
- Add spinach finally and cook for 15 mins.
- Serve hot with rice, or chapatti.
