Diamond cuts / Plain flour Biscuits
Ingredients
  • Maidha / Plain flour - 1 cup
  • Baking powder - a pinch
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Water - 3 tbsp
  • Oil for deep  frying
Method
  • Dissolve sugar in little amount of water and keep aside.
  • In a bowl add plain flour, baking powder, ghee and dissolved sugar solution.
  • Now, add water and make a dough.
  • Kneed them well into a soft dough.
  • Set aside for 15 mins.
  • Divide the dough into equal parts(lemon sized balls).Take a portion and roll it into a thin circle.

  • Dust flour as and when needed.Roll it as thin as possible.
  • Cut them in diamond shapes using knife or pizza cutter.
  • Separate them and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, deep fry those diamonds in medium flame till they turn golden brown (cook evenly by flipping).
  • Cool them and serve.
