Ingredients
- Maidha / Plain flour - 1 cup
- Baking powder - a pinch
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Water - 3 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Dissolve sugar in little amount of water and keep aside.
- In a bowl add plain flour, baking powder, ghee and dissolved sugar solution.
- Now, add water and make a dough.
- Kneed them well into a soft dough.
- Set aside for 15 mins.
- Divide the dough into equal parts(lemon sized balls).Take a portion and roll it into a thin circle.
- Dust flour as and when needed.Roll it as thin as possible.
- Cut them in diamond shapes using knife or pizza cutter.
- Separate them and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry those diamonds in medium flame till they turn golden brown (cook evenly by flipping).
- Cool them and serve.
