Wheat rava pongal (sweet)

Ingredients

  • Wheat rava - 1/2 cup
  • Moong dal - 1 tbsp
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Jaggery - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Camphor or cardamom - a pinch
  • Cashews - 4 -5

Method

  1. Soak moong dal in little water.
  2. Heat pan and dry roast wheat rava in low flame, keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a same pan, fry cashews and keep aside.
  4. Now, In a pressure cooker add fried cashews and roasted rava.
  5. Add water, moong dal along with water, cardamom powder, ghee close lid and cook for 2 whistles.
  6. In a separate pan, boil little water and dissolve jaggery.
  7. Filter jaggery and add to cooked rava.
  8. Add ghee and mix with rava well in high flame for few mins(till water drains).
  9. Garnish and serve.
