Wheat rava pongal (sweet)
Ingredients
- Wheat rava - 1/2 cup
- Moong dal - 1 tbsp
- Water - 3 cups
- Jaggery - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
- Camphor or cardamom - a pinch
- Cashews - 4 -5
Method
- Soak moong dal in little water.
- Heat pan and dry roast wheat rava in low flame, keep aside.
- Heat ghee in a same pan, fry cashews and keep aside.
- Now, In a pressure cooker add fried cashews and roasted rava.
- Add water, moong dal along with water, cardamom powder, ghee close lid and cook for 2 whistles.
- In a separate pan, boil little water and dissolve jaggery.
- Filter jaggery and add to cooked rava.
- Add ghee and mix with rava well in high flame for few mins(till water drains).
- Garnish and serve.
