Chow-Chow/Chayote Fry

Ingredients
  • Chow Chow  - 1
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel powder - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves and coriander leaves - few
Method
  1. Chop chow chow into thin slices.
  2. Marinate it by adding ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, fennel powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, pepper powder and lemon juice for about 1/2 an hour.
     
  3. Now, heat oil in a pan, add marinated chow chow pieces.
  4. Cover lid and cook till chow chow gets cooked (no water need to be added).
  5. Finally add salt, mix well.
  6. Garnish with curry and coriander leaves and serve.
