Cauliflower Rice
Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cardamom - 1
- Clove - 1
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cauliflower - 1
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 3
- Green Peas - 1/2 cup
- Ginger - 1 inch
- Garlic - 3 fat cloves
- Green chillies - 1
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Biryani Masala powder - 3/4 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Soak rice in water for 20 minutes, drain it and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add all the spices, add chopped onions, saute.
- Add ginger, garlic, salt and green chillies.
- Add chopped tomatoes.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and biryani masala powder.
- Add peas.
- Add cauliflower (wash and soak cauliflower in hot water for 15 mins before adding).
- Add required amount of water.
- Add rice.
- Cover and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
- Garnish and serve with raita.
