Celery Pulao
Ingredients
- Celery - 150 g
- Butter/ghee - 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Green chillies - 3
- Vegetable stalk/ chicken stalk/ water - 1 cup
- Salt as needed
- Basmati rice - 1 cup (soaked for 30 mins)
- Turmeric a pinch
- Garlic - 4
- Almonds - 4
- Heat butter or ghee in a pan, add fennel seeds.
- Add chopped celery stems.
- Grind green celery part and green chillies into a fine paste and add them.
- Cook celery paste for 2 minutes.
- Now, add vegetable stalk/ chicken stalk or water.
- Once water boils, add basmati rice.
- Cover lid and cook till rice gets cooked or pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- In another pan, heat ghee or butter, add garlic pods, almond, fry them and garnish on top of rice.
- Serve hot.
