Celery Pulao

Ingredients
  • Celery - 150 g
  • Butter/ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Vegetable stalk/ chicken stalk/ water - 1 cup
  • Salt as needed
  • Basmati rice - 1 cup (soaked for 30 mins)
  • Turmeric a pinch
  • Garlic - 4
  • Almonds - 4 
Method
  1. Heat butter or ghee in a pan, add fennel seeds.
  2. Add chopped celery stems.
  3. Grind green celery part and green chillies into a fine paste and add them.
  4. Cook celery paste for 2 minutes.
  5. Now, add vegetable stalk/ chicken stalk or water.
  6. Once water boils, add basmati rice.
  7. Cover lid and cook till rice gets cooked or pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  8. In another pan, heat ghee or butter, add garlic pods, almond, fry them and garnish on top of rice.
  9. Serve hot.
