Crispy Moong Bean Dosa / Pesarattu (Andhra style)
Mung bean dosa (or commonly Pesara attuPesara dosa), is a crepe-likebread that is similar to dosa. It is made with batter of green gram (moong dal), but unlike a dosa, it does not contain urad dal.[1] Pesarattu is eaten both in breakfast and as a snack that is popular in Andhra Pradesh andRajasthan in India. It is typically served with ginger or tamarind chutney. Green chilies, ginger and onions are used in different variants of this snack.

Ingredients
  • Moong bean - 1 cup
  • Idly rice - 3/4 or 1 cup
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Onion - 1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilly - 2
  • Salt - as required
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Method
  1. Soak moong bean and rice in water overnight.
  2. Grind dal, rice along with ginger, onion, coriander leaves and green chillies.
  3. Add salt and cumin seeds.
  4. Heat tawa and pour batter, make dosas.
  5. Serve with spicy chutney or coconut chutney.
