Making of Puri for Chaat

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp or more - All Purpose Flour/Maida
  • 1/2 cup - Rava (semolina)
  • Salt as needed.
  • Warm Water as needed
  • Oil for deep frying
Method
  1. In a bowl add semolina, salt and enough of warm water, give it a mix to make dough(Do not add too  much water).
  2. Once moisture is absorbed by semolina add all purpose flour for good binding of dough (Do not add too much flour).
  3. kneed it well.
  4. Should be medium not very soft or very hard.
  5. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough very thin applying oil.
  7. Cut into small rounds with some caps or shapes.
  8. Deep fry them till it raised and dry with tissue.
  9. Use this for making street chaats like paani puri, bhel puri, dhahi puri etc.
Note:
  • One cup of semolina yields some 100 puries.
