Making of Puri for Chaat
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp or more - All Purpose Flour/Maida
- 1/2 cup - Rava (semolina)
- Salt as needed.
- Warm Water as needed
- Oil for deep frying
- In a bowl add semolina, salt and enough of warm water, give it a mix to make dough(Do not add too much water).
- Once moisture is absorbed by semolina add all purpose flour for good binding of dough (Do not add too much flour).
- kneed it well.
- Should be medium not very soft or very hard.
- Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll the dough very thin applying oil.
- Cut into small rounds with some caps or shapes.
- Deep fry them till it raised and dry with tissue.
- Use this for making street chaats like paani puri, bhel puri, dhahi puri etc.
- One cup of semolina yields some 100 puries.
