Village Style Chicken Curry
Ingredients
- Chicken - 200 g (boneless)
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Onion (large) - 2
- Tomatoes (medium) - 2
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Peppercorns - 3 tbsp
- Fennel seeds - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Water as needed
- Heat pan and dry roast peppercorns, fennel seeds separately.
- Cool them and powder them finely.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions.
- Cook till onions are caramelized (brown colored).
- Add ginger garlic paste, cook for 2 mins.
- Add chopped tomatoes,salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric,little water and cook till tomatoes becomes mushy.
- Now add grounded pepper fennel powder.
- Mix them well, add chicken pieces.
- Add water.
- Cover and cook till chicken gets cooked and water drains.
- Garnish with curry leaves and serve.
