Paruppu Usli 

Ingredients
  • Ladies Finger /  Beans - 1 cup
  • Channa Dal - 1 cup
  • Toor Dal - 1/4 cup
  • Red chillies - 4
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp 
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 pinnate 
Method
  1. Soak channa dal, toor dal for 2 hours.
  2. Drain water and grind them with asafoetida, red chillies, curry leaves and salt (without adding water).
  3. Steam the grounded mixture in idly vessel for 7-10 mins in high flame.
  4. Cool them and grind again once ( not powdery).
  5. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal and then add cooked dal mixture.
  6. Cook them till it becomes brown.
  7. Meanwhile, cook chopped ladies finger or beans separately in a pan.
  8. When dal becomes brown, add cooked vegetables, add required salt, mix together and serve.
