Onion Gose
Ingredients
- Onion - 4
- Tomato - 3
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- Chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- poppy seed - 2 tsp
- Cashew - 5
- Coriander leaves - few
- Salt - as required
- Garlic - 8 cloves
- Fennel seed - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves- few
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Grind poppy seeds, coconut and cashews with water, filter them and extract milk out of them, keep aside.
- Heat pan, add oil, add fennel seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and when it splutters, add chopped garlic, saute them.
- Add chopped onions.
- Add salt.
- Add chilli powder by mixing it with water.
- Add chopped tomatoes.
- Add extracted coconut milk.
- Leave them to boil in medium low flame.
- Transfer to a bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
