Wheat Rava Biryani
Ingredients
- Wheat rava - 1 cup
- Fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Cardamom - 1
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 1
- Mace - few
- Star anise - 1
- Bay leaf - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Onion - 1 (medium)
- Tomato - 2 (medium)
- Mint and Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup
- Lemon - 1
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Green chillies - 1
- Curd - 1 tbsp
- water - 2 1/2 cup
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Ghee
- Salt as needed
- Heat ghee in a pan and roast rava, keep aside.
- Heat oil in a cooker, add all the spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, mace, star anise, bay leaf and fennel seeds).
- Add sliced onions and green chillies, saute.
- Add ginger garlic paste.
- Add mint and coriander leaves, saute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder, salt, coriander powder and saute well.
- Add curd.
- Add vegetables (you can add any vegetables of your choice).
- Add water and boil.
- When water boils add roasted rava.
- Cook till every ingredients get mixed together and then cover lid , simmer for 10 minutes or leave 1 whistle and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Finally add ghee, garnish and serve.
