Wheat Rava Biryani

Ingredients
  • Wheat rava - 1 cup
  • Fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Cinnamon - 1
  • Cloves - 1
  • Mace - few
  • Star anise - 1
  • Bay leaf - 1 
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 (medium)
  • Tomato - 2 (medium)
  • Mint and Coriander leaves  - 1/2 cup
  • Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup
  • Lemon - 1
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Green chillies - 1
  • Curd - 1 tbsp
  • water - 2 1/2 cup
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Ghee 
  • Salt as needed
Method
  1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast rava, keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker, add all the spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, mace, star anise, bay leaf and fennel seeds).
  3. Add sliced onions and green chillies, saute.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste.
  5. Add mint and coriander leaves, saute.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder, salt, coriander powder and saute well.

  7. Add curd.
  8. Add vegetables (you can add any vegetables of your choice).
  9. Add water and boil.

  10. When water boils add roasted rava.
  11. Cook till every ingredients get mixed together and then cover lid , simmer for 10 minutes or leave 1 whistle and simmer for 10 minutes.
  12. Finally add ghee, garnish and serve.
