MUNG DAL SUNDAL

INGREDIENTS
  • Mung Dal - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - 1 pinnate
  • Grated coconut - 3 tbsp
  • Salt as needed
METHOD
  1. Dry roast mung dal in a pan till the flavor of dal releases.
  2. Cook dal with 1 1/2 cup of water.
  3. Drain and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard, add red chillies, asafoetida and curry leaves.
  5. Add cooked dal.
  6. Add grated coconut.
  7. Serve.
