SWEET-SOUR LEMON RICE

INGREDIENTS
  • Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
  • Cooked rice - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Roasted Peanuts - 1/4 cup
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Curry leaves - 1 pinnate
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Salt as needed
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
METHOD
  1. Cook a cup of rice with 2 cups of water and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard.
  3. Add urad dal, green chillies, curry leaves, peanuts, asafoetida.
  4. Add turmeric, salt and chilli powder.

  5. Now, add cooked rice, mix well.
  6. Add lemon juice.
  7. Then, add grated coconut.
  8. Finally, add sugar.
