Spinach Paste / Keerai Kadayal
Ingredients
  • Sesame oil - 1 tsp
  • Green chilies - 2
  • Garlic cloves - 10
  • Onions - 3 (medium)
  • Spinach - 250 g
  • Salt as needed
Method
  • Clean spinach, soak in hot water for 15 minutes and wash twice.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onions, garlic, green chilies and salt.
  • Saute them well.
  • Now, add spinach, saute for few mins.
  • Cool the mixture and grind them in blender.
  • Serve with hot rice with 1 tsp of ghee.
