- Unsalted butter - 3 tbsp
- Cake flour - 1/2 cup
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Cocoa Powder- 1/3 cup
- Eggs - 4
- Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- Semi - Sweet Chocolate chips - 1/4 cup
- Whipping cream - 1 cup
Chocolate Cake Base:
- Preheat oven for about 3570 degree F/ 180 degree C.
- In a bowl add cake flour, cocoa powder and salt.
- Sift all together and mix them.
- In a separate bowl add eggs, sugar and whisk them together, keep aside.
- Put them over a sauce pan adding water in pan, put them on stove at low heat.
- Keep whisking on stove top till egg mixture reaches Luke warm temperature.
- Transfer egg mixture into a mixing bowl and beat them on high speed for 5 mins till it becomes thick.
- Flavor the mixture by adding vanilla extract and beat again.
- Now, add the flour mixture into egg mixture by sifting them.
- Use wide whisk or spatula to mix them together.
- Repeat above two steps by dividing flour mixture into three parts.
- Now, add melted butter in Luke warm temperature (mix little amount of cake mixture made into melted butter and then mix with the whole mixture).
- Grease cake tin and pour the mixture into them, level them.
- Bake in oven for about 20 - 25 mins till the tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool them completely.
- Heat water in a sauce pan (low flame).
- Place a mixing bowl above it by adding whipping cream.
- When whipping cream is hot (after 5 mins) add semi sweetened chocolate chips.
- Leave for a minute and mix them together using whisk.
- When all chips gets dissolved cover the bowl with plastic wrap, refrigerate until cool.
- Now, whip them using hand blender for a minute till it becomes thick.
- When cake base is completely cool, divide cake into two equal parts spread sugar syrup, add whipped chocolate cream between them and also all around the cake.
- Decorate cake as per your wish.
