Tomato Garlic Chutney

Ingredients
  • Tomato - 1
  • Garlic - 10 cloves
  • Dry red chillies - 4
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt as needed
To Temper
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Channa dal - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Dry red chillies - 2
Method
  • Heat oil in a pan, add dry red chillies, garlic cloves and saute.

  • Add chopped tomatoes, saute for 2 mins.
  • Cool and grind.
  • Heat oil, crackle mustard, cumin, add channa dal, urad dal, asafoetida and dry red chillies.
  • Pour over grounded paste.
