Chilli Chicken
Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of chicken.In India, this may include a variety of dry chicken preparations.Though mainly boneless chicken is used in this dish, some people also recommend to use boned chicken too.


Ingredients

Marination
  • Boneless  Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice of 2 lemon
  • Salt as needed
  • Egg - 1
Fry
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Plain flour - 1 cup
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp

Sauce
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic(chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger(chopped) - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies(chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • Onion(large) - 1
  • Vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Ketchup - 3 tbsp
  • Chicken stock - 2 tbsp


Method
1.Marinate chicken with all the ingredients mentioned under marination except egg for 15 minutes.

2.Now add egg along with it and marinate again for another 15 minutes.


3.Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
4.Mix flours mentioned under fry (plain flour and cornflour).


5.Dip marinated chicken one by one into the flour mixture and deep fry them in hot oil.




6.Drain oil with tissues and keep chicken aside.

7.Now, for sauce heat oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and garlic.
8.Then, add green chillies and chopped onions.

9.Add vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce and ketcup.



10.Add chicken stock and stir for 1 minute.
11.Finally, add deep fried chicken pieces and mix well.


12.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Note
  • Chicken stock is the water released by chicken on boiling.
