MASHED HORSE GRAM/KOLLU KADAYAL
INGREDIENTS
- Horsegram/kollu - 1/3 cup
- Small onions - 10
- Tomato - 1
- Water - 1 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Pepper - 1 tsp
- Green chillies - 1
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies - 2
- Asafoetida - a pinch
METHOD
- Soak horse gram overnight.
- Pressure cook horse gram, tomato for 1 whistle and keep in low flame for 10 minutes.
- Cool them; grind by adding small onions, cumin, pepper and green chillies along (grind along with water/ drain water).
- Heat oil in a pan crackle mustard, add cumin seeds, dry red chillies, asafoetida and temper on grounded masala.
