- Oil - 1 tsp
- Cloves - 3
- Cinnamon - 1
- Maze - 1
- Star Anise - 1
- Dry Red Chillies - 4
- Coriander Seeds - 2 tsp
- Peppercorns - 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
- Coconut - 1 tbsp
- Onion - 1 (large)
- Tomato - 2 (medium)
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Chicken - 250 g
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Grind roughly chopped onions and tomatoes raw using blender adding little water, keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add ingredients mentioned under 'masala paste' one by one and saute them
- Cool the above mixture and grind them adding 2 tbsp of water, make a smooth paste.
- Now, heat oil in a separate pan, add ginger garlic paste.
- Cool till raw smell goes.
- Then, add grounded onion tomato paste.
- Simmer for 5 mins.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
- Simmer for 10 mins.
- Add chicken.
- Add water, add grounded masala paste and simmer again for 15-20 mins till chicken gets cooked.
